Our expertise

From the farm to our butcher

We source our suet from Amish and Mennonite family farms in Ontario, where each animal is raised with respect and care.

In these farms, the rhythm of nature is sacred: the herds enjoy the outdoors whenever possible, feed on a healthy diet, and grow in an environment that preserves the balance between man, animal, and the land.

Each animal is closely monitored from its birth to maturity. The slaughtering technique based on the principles of zabiha used aims to minimize the animal's suffering and adheres to a strict ethical standard.

✅ Grass-fed without GMOs, antibiotics, growth hormones, pesticides, or herbicides.

In our workshop

We are committed to carrying out each step of the transformation in our own workshops. When transforming beef suet into pure and stable tallow, two methods are possible: dry rendering and wet rendering.

At Wadak, we have chosen dry rendering, a process that we fully control in-house. Dry rendering involves melting the suet slowly and at low temperatures without adding water. This artisanal method allows us to produce a cream that has a more neutral smell and preserves better, while also retaining the nutrients contained in the suet.

Once the melting is complete, the tallow is carefully filtered to separate all impurities. When it solidifies, the filtrate takes on a creamy texture, ready to be transformed into a balm or a nourishing elixir.

Like a craftsman who fine-tunes his work to perfection, we create our creams with natural ingredients, then we balance them so that their texture is silky on your skin and the softness of their scent touches your soul. Finally, before a cream touches your skin, it undergoes a ritual of testing and observation.
